Everything was perfect!

They were terrific. They made the whole move happen in a flash. They had a great attitude and took terrific care of my things and were very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them.

Dishonest and Did not Deliver on Contractual Obligations.

Do not trust the Google Reviews! They pay for them, and hold household goods hostage. Safeway Moving is the moving company that other companies warn you about. They charged us 140% of the original quote upon pickup (when it was too late to do anything about it), and they called me upon delivery to say they weren't even going to attempt to deliver anything until after I paid an additional $525, ontop of the $3300 "flat fee" they had already charged me. They threatened that if I don't pay they would put my items in storage, and then charge me the storage fee, shuttle fee, and re-delivery fee (no quote given, but I can't imagine it would be less than $2000). This goes against federal regulations, and I've already complained to the BBB and FMCSA.

We did end up getting our items back, however we had to rent a uhaul, meet them in a Wal Mart parking lot, and then move the stuff in ourselves. They forced us to pay the full 100% before they'd let us touch our items, even though they did not uphold their end of the agreement by moving in our stuff, and setting it all back up. Also, we have unpacked about 2 boxes, and already found several items are broken.. Very shady company. It has turned me off from ever hiring a moving company again. -- Way to kill the industry with your dishonesty, Safeway.

Move from Co to Fl.

I just want everyone to know what a great moving experience I had with Safeway Moving out of Denver. Guy , the foreman was professional and just all around a great person. He came in explained what the process was , went over my items - BEFORE he loaded and there were some items I had forgotten and they were added to the list / documents as they should be . My price went up a little because of those things I missed but I was moving them and you have to pay for what you move. They also packed my boxes appropriately - not dead space like you see pictures of other movers doing and they put my items on the truck. The way the loaded the truck was interesting to watch- nothing moved- last time I moved all my items were so loosely loaded- I had breakage. This time I had a scratch on a coffee table . I highly recommend these guys- they are not the cheapest but remember you do get what you pay for - they are one of the best though. Thank you Safeway Moving-Denver!!

Absolutely the worse, they skipped my move.

I paid for a reservation for pick up May 25th with backup date of May 26th. I confirmed with them over the phone the pickup date of the May 26th. On May 25th I called them to see at what time they would pick me up and they changed my pickup date without my consent or any warning. I needed to move the 26th (hence the paid reservation) so I could not move the pickup date to anything other. So far, they have yet to reimburse my deposit for the reservation they did not make. I suggest anyone to stay away from this company. They are scammers and thieves.

Dishonest and broke so many things!

Most dishonest company ever! Broke everything they moved for me. My solid top kitchen table was in two pieces. Everything I paid them extra money to pack, they broke. Five months later insurance is sending me a laughable amount of money for the amount and the quality of items they broke. Charged me for boxes and materials they never used. Company has acknowledged this and still has not sent me any money. I will copy and paste this review in various review sites since the reviews I’ve made to the company itself have never been posted. Noticed there are no recent reviews nor are there many reviews posted which most people going through a moving company will post reviews good or bad. They have found a way to get around posting their negative reviews which means if you look at the dates, there have been no positive reviews posted in years. This company needs to be closed down. It is terrible what they do to customers. The man they sent out to do the paperwork knew he had me over a barrel because I had to run home to take care of my Alzheimer’s father since my mother just died. I disputed what he was trying to charge me and my choice was for them to leave my belongings and start over with a different company or sign. I was catching a plane the next morning and had no choice. One of the most shameful companies I have worked with in my lifetime.

Awful - Go with ABF or United Van Lines.

Horrible, absolutely horrible! If there were negative stars that would be more appropriate. My experience with Safeway Movers could not have been or gone any worse than it did. I have used ABF and United Van Lines with different moves, I regret not going with them on my recent move, unfortunately I went with Safeway Moving, BIG MISTAKE! My only hope is that someone considering Safeway Moving NOT choose them. If you want all the details I am happy to share. Worst moving company in the business, prepare for damages, extortion, and delay.

Move from Denver to NE Louisiana.

I got a quote from the manager based on quantity (cubic footage)

The movers got there and said there would be an upcharge because there were items not listed on the list (BS)

I had to leave my sofa and a few other items on the curb in Denver. They also said after it was loaded, they would make an accurate Cu Ft measurement to verify actual space utilized.

They did not. However, being an engineer, I measured the space myself and found it to be significantly less than the estimate.

The driver would not hear of it.

They lost (4) items including an $800 tool box full of tools and an antique chair. The damaged (2) pieces of antique furniture as well. I was reimbursed $200 dollars for all of that.

They just a bunch of thieves and everyone should shy away from them.

Multi state senior move.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I moved my Dad out of a senior living center that had an extreme list of move-out rules due to Covid. They followed them exactly, forcing the leasing agent of the building to comment to me that they were the most efficient, Covid-compliant movers he had ever worked with. They went over the top in packing my Dad’s stuff to protect it during transport across the country, and had the place boxed up in 2 hours. They were courteous and kind, and did everything they could to help me get my Dad moved out quickly and safely. I highly recommend them.

They really did a great job.

The moving crew treated my belongings with care and worked quickly. They showed up right on time, packed my things into the van, and I headed for the subway. We literally arrived downtown at the same time, unloaded, and everything was done in just over an hour. The price was outstanding and delivery was quicker than we thought. You won't be disappointed.

Great Moving Service.

This most recent move was the third we've done with Safeway Moving All three experiences were fantastic! This time, our crew of Jake, Hank, and Lance were friendly, fast, and professional. They were all extremely positive, took excellent care of our stuff, and made what could have been an overwhelming, stressful move into as close to a breeze as moving gets.

Their rates are very reasonable.

Sarah, who helped with scheduling was so easy to work with, so prompt in replies and so friendly. I used them to move out of my house into a storage unit and again into my new place. They were early, very efficient, and so nice. They helped take apart and put my furniture back together. They made stressful days so easy. I couldn't believe how fast they moved everything into the new place! I will use them again and will recommend them to everyone.

Safeway Moving made this experience painless

I started my process with Matthew who was so accommodating with my requests and when I had to change some dates at the last minute he was great and always followed up with me. The movers themselves were courteous and extremely fast. A move expected to take three hours only took two! All my belongings were handled with care and placed mindfully in the new space.

This company did a great job moving my grandmother's entire house to our House. The move took place shortly after the initial down payment and went on smoothly. The driver who arrived was on time, very cooperative and professional. They handled furniture with the utmost care and transported it safely and on time. They did all this at an affordable price.

Job well done!

I contacted, and they had the cheapest rates. Once they got to my apartment, they were able to load everything into their truck in 30 minutes, drove to my new place, and took another 30 minutes to unload everything. They were quick, kind, and very professional. The estimate I got was much higher than the ultimate price, because instead of the 3 hour time that the receptionist estimated, it only took 1.5 hours to do the full move.

They were simply superb

I have never seen six most hard-working people. They packed up our house with care and then moved us without fuss. They were all polite and I think if you search around for removals firms, you'll find that they are pretty reasonable too. I would not hesitate to recommend Safeway company to anyone thinking of moving. And they've been very nice since the move, picking up all the packing boxes so they can be recycled.

I will use them again

I've moved too many times than I can count in my life and this was the first time I have used professional movers! I was very happy with how fast and careful they were with my stuff. The movers, Darrel, Melvin, and Eric were cheerful and friendly and easy to work with. I moved from a second story apartment to a 2 bedroom house, and it was no problem! I mostly hired the movers to move my stove and two guys were able to just lift it and move it up the stairs.

Excellent work!

On time, super friendly, and SO fast. While they're fast and efficient, they aren't sloppy, either. I didn't feel rushed. They made sure all of my stuff went where I wanted it and were completely happy to move some furniture around for me when I decided I would prefer it elsewhere. I felt completely comfortable and safe with these friendly and chatty guys.

Simply the best moving experience I've ever had in my life. The moving team from Safeway Moving was very kind and helpful. They made it easy and stress free. I ended up paying less than initially quoted, which was awesome. Highly recommend. Moving is the worst, but not when you have movers that do it the right way.

These guys were amazing!

We just moved today, and Gavin, Kevin, and Wilson called before they left, arrived on time, worked quickly, were faster than estimated, and were so incredibly friendly. Nothing was damaged, and everything was put in place. Again, I can't recommend them enough, they were a breath of fresh air.

I found the best people to help us move

I moved my furniture 2 days ago with Safeway Moving. The three men who wrapped and,packed and did the work were courteous, very helpful and efficient. It was all done very quickly. The entire lot was placed in storage and I was pleased with their work. I will call them again when I move to a new place for sure.
